About the University
Hubei University of Medicine, located at Shiyan in central China, is a medical school committed to nurturing healthcare professionalsintegrating medicine education with disciplines of science, engineering and administration. Foundedin1990, the University has trained more than 120,000 medical professionals and technicians who are now delivering health care and services.
The University offers a wide range of programs across 18 schools covering more than 40 major areas of study. About the 2024“Chinese Bridge”Group Exchange Program
This program is designed to create opportunities for students to explore interestsin Chinese learning and enrich their cultural experiences.
Time: August 18-24, 2024
Contents:
1. Language coursesand cultural lectures:Chinese Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Courses, cultural lectures on Chinese traditional festivals, Chinese cuisine, Chinese ancient poetry, Contribution of Chinese Science and Technology, Life of Contemporary Chinese, etc.
2. Cultural experiences:
1) Daily Wudang TaiChi sessions, self-funded sightseeing at Wudang Mountain, the World CulturalHeritage site known for its ancient architecture and martial arts
2) Experiencing dumpling-making, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese Paper Cuttings, Chinese traditional painting
3) A guided tour to the City Museum, Dongfeng automobile factory, Han River and Longyun Village
3. Traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese herbal medicines: guided tour to the Pharmaceutical Engineering Training Center and the Medicinal Herb Garden,acquaintancewithcommon Chinese herbal medicines,handwork of Chinese medicinal herbariums, observation of traditional therapies such as acupuncture, cupping, and massage at the hospital
